Eastern Animal Hospital was founded in 1952. Dr. Kaufman
bought into the practice in 1990. The original building was a
Baltimore city animal shelter and was quite small. In 1998, an
opportunity developed directly across the street for a chance
to move into a larger space. The owner, Dr. Kaufman, together
with a veterinary architect, designed and built a modern,
state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in 5,000 sq. ft. It’s
beautiful!
Eastern Animal Hospital was voted “Best Veterinary
Hospital” (2004) by City Paper’s Voter’s choice. Dr. Kaufman
received a community award for his service to the Southeastern
District police. Dr. Kaufman also received the Baltimore
County "Good Neighbor Award" 2005, for his outstanding
community service.
