Preventative Medicine

Our goal is simple: We want to see your dog or cat stay well for his/her entire life. That’s why we like to see you and your pet regularly, even when there’s not a problem. Regular annual examinations help us get to know your pet’s special needs. When your pet is seen by a veterinarian at Eastern Animal Hospital, a complete physical examination is performed to see if there are any abnormalities that might allow the veterinarian to detect potential problems – and perhaps get an early start on treatment. Remember, your pet needs monthly preventive care year-round for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites.
